Hi there, super woMOM! I am praying your little one is thriving! And I hope by now you already have an increase in your milk supply. If yes, then you may be complaining about how full and tender your breasts are. That’s right, when God showers us with blessings, it can be overflowing!
But if you’re still struggling, don’t hesitate to contact me and I will help you with that. I’m no expert but I’ve been there and done that so please reach out to me. Anyway, we are now on the fourth day, wohoo! Can you believe that? You survived and will continue to survive, I have faith in you!
By this day, your baby has already realized who you are and what you can offer her, comfort and food.
Hooray! You made it to the fourth day of your breastfeeding journey, believe me it’ll start getting better. Here’s what you’ll expect for this day.
“Day of Doubting”
Breastfeed: Baby should breastfeed 8-12 times today, every 1-3 hours for as long as desired. Finish the first breast before switching sides. Baby usually eats 1 to 2 ounces of milk at each feeding session.
Body Changes: Your breasts may be feeling fuller, tender, and swollen. Apply ice packs to breasts to relieve swelling. Nipple soreness should be resolving.
Baby’s Behavior: Baby will appear more content after feedings and fall asleep at the breast. Compress breasts during sucking bursts to aid milk transfer.
Diaper Counts: At least 3 stool diapers and 4 wet diapers on Day 4. Stools will be green/gold.
